this means extensive research on the following:
The September Issue/The Devil Wears Prada/scenes from Ugly Betty/reading editorials from magazines/ Elle ads/Interview ads.
i think i will find the most data in the bold. our assignment was to study a sort of power house in society, like government, the police department, community centers, etc. and the fashion industry seemed appropriate enough. at least this is a topic i can find plenty of information on AND find exciting to research. i won’t get bored. i want to start as soon as possible— plus the fact that this 7-10 page paper is due next friday. not too much time to spend!
i’m definitely concentrating on fashion and the media. how has the media manipulate the way people view fashion? how do fashion editors keep their power? Does media appeal to the average woman? and does fashion favor individuality or conformity? yeah, frankly i’m still blurry on what question to actually investigate and answer, but the harder the question, perhaps the more likely i can have a thorough answer and paper length.
summary of my first two novels.
